I wanted to take a moment to provide you with a quick update on my end. A couple of weeks ago, I accepted an offer to join the Los Angeles office of Lewis Brisbois as a member of their litigation team in their healthcare and elder law practice group. Brian, you have been the most professional and courteous recruiter I have dealt with, and I look forward to keeping in very close touch.

After each interview, my recruiter in Chicago provided me with solid feedback of my performance, including my strengths and weaknesses, it was invaluable. I got the impression that my recruiter was an old hand at this, as they were very confident in her guidance. My recruiter also knew so many people in the industry and large amounts of detail about each firm.

I had the opportunity to work with my recruiter in connection with a recent search for a corporate law associate position. She was a pleasure to work with for the duration of my job search. In the beginning of the job search, my recruiter assisted me in framing my goals and identifying which type of law firms would be a good match for my career objectives and qualifications. My recruiter helped me formulate responses to interview questions that were much more effective than responses I would have come up with on my own.

Perhaps the best part of working with my recruiter was her dedication to the job search. She was very attentive and sincerely cared about placing me with a firm that matched my personal goals and personality. Most importantly, her work yielded an excellent final result as I received offers from several highly ranked law firms. I highly recommend my recruiter to any attorney interested in making a lateral move.

My first impression of BCG was very good, because Harrison and I had about a two hour phone call. I'm very surprised that he spent that much time talking with me. He was interested in my background in graduate school, and I really think that it was more like a personal conversation, rather than a conversation geared toward an object of me trying to find a job, which was cool. Another good thing about it was that I got the sense that he was really trying to drill down and get information to make sure that you guys could do a good job for me. That was probably the best part of the experience, was that first thing that happened right of the bat, and that first call with Harrison.

I was able to do things that make money while you guys were finding me a job, which made my life easier.

When I think of BCG I think of the word professional, and I get the sense that you guys don't regard me as a commodity, a fundable unit that you just need to get rid of with somebody so that you can get your cash flow going.

In my experience, I would rank you and one other person as the very top experiences that I've had.

I really liked my consultant, she helped me prepare for interviews, I had a lot of questions that she responded to. She also helped with my interview preparation, and how to negotiate getting the job offer.BCG helped make my job search easier because my consultant taught me how to make a lateral move and gave me interview prep. Honestly, the best part [about working with BCG] was getting a job in the end, especially when I had mostly stopped looking for myself. Carolina was willing to listen to what I was looking for and tried to match that with somewhere where I'd be happy. I'd said I wanted to do writing, and she shopped me around as a writer. I've only been at this new job for a few weeks, but it seems to be a much better fit than some of the places I was applying (and not getting). Even though it took a while, I still feel like you did a good job. A lot of that was the coronavirus, I'm sure, but taking the time to find a firm that was specifically looking for someone who was looking to write, not necessarily looking to get in a courtroom all of the time, was a big plus.
Q. How did working with us make you job search easier?
A. Well, for one, I didn't have to do the searching. But firms seem to reach out to you guys. Sometimes a middleman is a bad thing, but sometimes the middleman is a good facilitator, and that's what I felt happened here. I was also able to let someone else do the searching while I watched my son during the day.

Q. Where would we rank/compare to other recruiting companies you may have used?

A. Since you got me the job, I'd put you on top. Even without that, you didn't pigeonhole me into "temp" work just because your firm was divided into temp and permanent placement (and make it hard to get into the other group), so I'd still put you on top. My sample size isn't large, though.

My favorite things about working at BCG were Harrison and Carleen. I like them both. Working with BCG made my job easier because they were really good with scheduling and giving good information. The first three things that come to mind when I think of BCG are that they are competent, informative, and pleasant. I would recommend you guys.
